Turn Your New Land Cruiser Into an Off-Road Weapon (Cars Exblog)

Turn Your New Land Cruiser Into an Off-Road Weapon (Cars) Say hello to the AT37, a customized Toyota Land Cruiser created by Arctic Trucks. On the exterior, it resembles a Land Cruiser with large tires. But there is a little more to it than that. Arctic Trucks—the same company that developed Top Gear's Hilux fleet for the infamous Polar Special—targeted the current Land Cruiser with a slew of modifications. "We've got 110 dealers ... in our US network, and it would be very challenging for them to survive with a BEV-only portfolio." The company already has enough troubles, with US sales decreasing by 19% last year to 8,865 vehicles. It's worth recalling that when Al...

At the start of the year, scores of OEMs and aftermarket suppliers—along with legions of enthusiasts who worship at their altars—show up at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, converting the halls into a riot of vivid, intriguing, weird, and fascinating components. Like so many sensory encounters in Japan, it's all a little overpowering in the best way possible. Fortunately for you, we were on site for a few days to wobble around the aisles, logging nearly ten miles of steps and distilling it all for you. These were some of the more noticeable features.
