Just one day after over 20 people lost their lives in a fire at an elementary school for boys, three people were hurt in a fire at a high school for girls in Kenya, according to reports from the country's authorities.
Three minor injuries were reported, and the situation at the Isiolo Girls High School in Isiolo County had been contained, according to a Sunday statement from the Kenya Red Cross on X.
The country's Nyeri county had a tragic fire at the Hillside Endarasha Academy the day before. At least 21 individuals were killed in the fire at the boys' dormitory, according to authorities on Saturday.
Government spokesman Isaac Mwaura claimed that 19 dead had been collected from the scene and that two more individuals had passed away while being transported to the hospital.
There were 156 males living in the elementary school dorm.
