During Her Cancer Battle, Princess Kate Completes Chemotherapy

In a recent video statement, Princess Kate announced that she has finished her chemotherapy in the midst of her cancer fight. On Monday, September 9, the 42-year-old queen announced the good news on social media, stating that it was a "relief" to "have finally completed [her]" therapy.

"As a family, the past nine months have been extremely difficult," Kate said in the written statement and the video. "We have to figure out how to navigate the stormy waters and uncharted territory because life as we know it can change in an instant."

Kate talked about how "complex" and "scary" her disease, which is not yet known to the royal family, has been for them throughout her statement.

She clarified, "The cancer journey is complicated, frightening, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you." "Humility also opens your eyes to your own weaknesses in a way you may not have imagined, which gives you a fresh outlook on everything."

"This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted," Kate said when asked what lessons she and her 42-year-old husband have learned from this experience. Of just being loved and receiving love.

The Princess of Wales has stated that she intends to continue living a cancer-free life.

She began, "My focus is now on doing everything I can to stay cancer-free. Although I have finished chemotherapy, I still have a long way to go before I fully recover, so I must continue to take each day as it comes."

"I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life, despite everything that has gone before," she said in closing. William and I are incredibly appreciative of the help we've had, and we've found a lot of strength in everyone who is supporting us right now. It has been profoundly humbled by everyone's warmth, sensitivity, and compassion. I'm still here, hand in hand, beside all of you who are enduring your own cancer journey. Light can emerge from darkness, so let that light shine brightly.
